Friends of Aspin School PTA was set up as a registered charity (charity number 1011106) to support Aspin Park Academy, Knaresborough.
What is a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)?
A PTA is a school association run by some of the parents and teachers to discuss matters that affect the children and to organise events to raise money.
Our objective
Comprising a group of parents from across the school, our main aim is to raise vital funds for the school, and to bring staff, parents and children together socially in support of the school.
Thanks to the wonderful support of our committed parents and the local community over the years, Friends of Aspin PTA have successfully raised thousands of pounds for the school. This money has been invaluable in funding many projects that enhance the children’s education, and help to create the happy environment at Aspin Park Academy.
The Committee
The Committee meets on the first Thursday of each month to discuss our event calendar and to set up working groups for each planned event. The meetings usually take place at the school in an evening between 7pm-9:30pm.
